Description
‘War of the worlds in holland’ by René Jacobs.
Craftsmanship
René Jacobs is a Dutch artist with his own gallery in Delft. He actually wanted to be a writer, but after a career as a senior manager, life as an artist was better for him. On Sunday 5 November 2006 he opened the doors of Galerie ‘De Kunstkop’, his first studio and permanent exhibition space in Delft. In 2010 he became the initiator and organizer of the Museum Night in Delft. In 2011, he moved to another location at the Nieuwe Langendijk 10 in Delft. In addition to individual works of art, René Jacobs also created a line of successful souvenirs: the mini-arts. The pleasure of creating art is important to René Jacobs. As he describes it himself: “If it turns out that a meteorite is on its way to earth and we all have 48 hours to live, then I know one thing for sure: the next day I will paint”. In 2019 he decides to rename his gallery to ART Jacobs in order to increase the international image and to be able to take the next steps as an artist.
