Craftsmanship
Galo Canote is an artist mainly known for his contemporary and graffiti art. Galo was born in Los Angeles and lived in Guadalajara in the 1980’s. He was involved in art at an early age and graffiti became a serious part of his life. He returned later to Los Angeles to work on the bandshell of MacArthur Park. A project directed under the Otis College of Art and Design. He has been a panelist at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA).
Galo currently works as a full-time artist, art & language teacher and mentor for at-risk youth kids and juvenile delinquents. Galo also directs, organizes and curates art-shows/exhibits throughout the LA area.
